Happy Independence Day! By Rizzuto Fri Jul 04, 2008 - Just wanted to say Happy Independence Day to all of our domestic readers, and a happy random Friday to our international readers. I wanted to leave you with a thought about Barack Obama that occurred to me last night. What the Democrats ignored or underestimated about this man was the distance he would have to travel to the political center. This distance is so great, that it magnifies every political shift the Senator makes. While some leaders can almost seamlessly and effortlessly move to the center, Obama's moves come off as almost dishonest due to their magnitude. That is all.
