Madonna Set to Ruin Classic Movie
By Rizzuto

Thu Apr 03, 2008 - Can you believe the arrogance of Hollywood? Following her tour de force performances in Dick Tracy and Swept Away, Madonna is set to tackle what is considered one of the greatest films of all time, Casablanca. I can't say that I know a lot about the film, but I know enough to know that Madonna shouldn't be the one remaking it. This from The Daily Mail:
It is one of the greatest films of Hollywood's golden era, a triple Oscar-winning classic with electrifyingly charismatic stars and a script bursting with memorable lines.

But now Madonna has stunned the movie industry with plans to remake Casablanca – and this time set it in Iraq.

The singer, whose previous film career has been littered with critical and commercial turkeys, is also planning to take the lead role of Ilsa Lund, which originally made a star of Ingrid Bergman.
Question, are there any bars in Iraq and will Lou be playing the Santur instead of the piano?

This "thing" is one of the few things that I hated about the 80's. This movie is going to bomb... Wait.. Iraq?.. Bomb... Hmmmmm, Would it be a catastrophe if say, the wrong bombing coordinates were given to an F/A 18? or a 155? I mean is the military not sworn to protect us from ALL enemies? foreign and domestic? Just food for thought
