Obama-Backing Senator Attacks McCain's War Experience; Update
By Rizzuto

Tue Apr 08, 2008 - Senator Jay"Iraq is not better off without Saddam" Rockefeller, open mouth, insert foot. Believe me, this is the only time this will happen, just wait until we get into the general election. This from ABC News:
In the Charleston Gazette Sunday, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-WV, who has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said that Sen. John McCain "has a temper" and, according to the story, "believes McCain has become insensitive to many human issues.

"McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesn't know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues."
Isn't McCain the one who agrees with the Dems on closing Guantanamo because he "cares about human lives"? Well, this is what he gets for his effort. For the record, McCain experienced years of "those issues" in the Hanoi Hilton.

And before you waste your time with a Google search, no Rockefeller has never served.

Update: Rockefeller apologizes.

Yeah, it's a damn shame McCain never spent any time on the ground in Vietnam.

If self-inflicted irony could kill, could you imagine the body-count?
