Pelosi Hits Rock Bottom; Says Iran Responsible for Surge Success By Rizzuto Thu May 29, 2008 - Just great Nancy. This from Commentary Magazine: Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians.I'll just say it, this woman is scum and unfit to be the Speaker of the House. The Dem's are getting more and more desperate to justify their position on Iraq considering that the facts on the ground are less and less in their favor (IE America is winning). Of course, the subtext of what she's saying is,"If we just pander to Iran a little more, like Obama wants , just imagine the success we could achieve!"
